August and September will see the arrival of several tiny human beings among my friends – a serious reason to pull my knitting needles out of the corner where they have been hibernating over the last months! This cardigan is destined for a small baby girl that is expected to come into this world any minute now, and I hope the light and cozy fabric will keep her warm during those late summer/early autumn weeks. The parents specifically asked for something not pink and rather laid back, and I think the grey tweed works really well in that regard, especially with the blue-ish buttons and yellow contrast thread.

In other news – as you may already have guessed due to another prolonged absence from this space -, I have been rather busy mainly with my PhD research, roaming the London libraries and archives, and trying to get some writing done. However, the last months have also seen some rather nice outings in and around London, and I hope to be able to share some of that with you soon.
