Evening Sky

August 12, 2012

So, I was just about to sit down to write a blog post, a long and proper one, to finally catch you up on some of the stuff [m] and I did back in July. Alas, I got distracted when I glanced out the window and saw that a rather spectacular gathering of sun and clouds had turned the evening sky into an arresting sight…

Next thing I know, of course, I’m out in the garden, camera in hand, taking photos of clouds. (And in case you’re wondering, the ‘garden’ once again refers to my parents’ garden – I’m house-sitting for them at the moment.) Oh, and maybe I ought to have left out the ‘of course’ in that previous sentence: Come to think of it, I rarely photograph clouds even though I’m always fascinated by them and always love looking at them…

So there’s little chance I’ll ever take part in something like Project :: Sky 365, but some of those clouds today were just too awesome to miss…

There even was a dragon among them:

Can you see it too?

P.S.: I’ll  return to writing that other blog post I mentioned tomorrow…

P.P.S.: … unless, of course, I get distracted again…

——-

UPDATE: Since taking the above photos about half an hour ago, the sky has decided to turn even more spectacular by doing one of those glorious pseudo-carribean sunsets with lots of gold and pink and whatnot:

No dragons this time, but if you look closely you can make out two teeny tiny airplanes in that pic.
